According to the local building regulations, the building plot should be designed as a closed building with a maximum height of 24 m. On this basis, a U-shaped, closed-context, four-building, 6-,7-,8-storey, roof-level, 2-basement unit with four buildings, connected to the neighbour, was planned, interrupting the closed construction in three spots. This made the block more airy, varied and oriented towards the dwellings, while maintaining the intimacy of the courtyard and the urban fit of the street lines.
In Vaskapu Street, the building line was naturally continued with the building line on the site boundary, while in Tóth Kálmán Street the frontal plane was set back by 3 meters, based on the above-mentioned criteria, and the street corner was highlighted with a terrace that took advantage of the terrain. The café and terrace to be installed here could provide the characteristic gateway to the block.
The inner courtyard is an intimate relaxation area for residents, with a well-designed, high-quality green space. The sheltered north-western part of the ground floor zone has been designed as a play house with a playground, located in the least intrusive area for the apartments. This northern zone also includes the exit of the underground car park with access from Vaskapu Street. On the ground floor, shops, offices and playground are planned on the outer side facing the street, while apartments are planned on the inner side facing the courtyard and on the upper and roof levels.
